“Party Antinconformiste” works as a possible or imagined heterotopy, a recurrent topic representation in the artists body of work. His inspiration comes from the visual horizon set up by bars and discotheques walls, normally full of posters, flyers and brochures placed all together promoting past, present and future parties. These traces show up a cacophony where all kind of juvenile subcultures try to be present, shaping the whole nightlife., trying to give a meaning, be different and attractive among the others. Many times we can find little graphic ruins and four colour flyers from different parties, concerts and events that only made sense during a concrete period of time and they get together in the wall of our favourite bar as silent witnesses from a youth that we are losing so slowly. Transfering all these references to the vanitas land, "Party Anticonformiste" consists in a flyers collection and posters about all this play-musical universe, but in a distant way, out of his joints and enigmatic, just like a party that is over.

Pablo Pérez Sanmartín (Pontevedra, 1980) got a Bachelor in Fine Arts at Universidad de Pontevedra. His body of work, openly multidisciplinar, where you can find from vídeo animation, happening or installation to drawing and other graphic works, has been shown at the Houston New Museum, Texas; at the Marco in Vigo, at the CAI in Gijón and in different galleries in La Coruña, Vigo, Madrid and Barcelona.
