"Natural Geometries" sets out a double question, on one hand it´s purely formal and in the other hand it´s an ontological nature. The work starts, from the unavoidable otherness conscience and, from the existence of something beyond what man could perceive, or even imagine. The framework of the reality, showed here through an abstracted to the shadow landscape, blured into a formal structure appealing to a metaphysical construction of that reality, following a natural geometric rules previous to the human thought able to reveal in one way only. Geometry becomes an explanation of that beyond or a final drawing with the rules of the world. Its sense is mixed: framework of the reality but at the same time framework of a new inteligence. Raising connections between traditional mysticism, pantheism, New Age or even forbidden knowledge from dark lodges. But it is also brightness, order, stability for a weak being lost in a world impossible to understand despite its equilibrium.
Abominableboy (Tenerife, 1980) studied laws at Complutense University, art direction, ephemeral architecture and graphic design at TAI, both in Madrid. Hardened as an illustrator, graphic designer and videoartist, taking part in festivals such as Efímera (IED, 2008), Emergencia (La Casa Encendida, 2008) or Disleño (Tenerife Design Festival, 2009), and she has published her works in several magazines and specialized fanzines such as JHH (Berlín), D[x]i Magazine (Valencia) or LeCool (Madrid). This is her first solo show. She works and lives in Madrid.
