"Upside Down" was born at the same time of The Black Pillar´s idea. Late night talks about those alcoholic and nonsense creative moment when it was conceive, adding big doses of humor, irony and mistrust to the project or his future. The men showed are the curators of this non profit art space, visibly anamorphosed. Some birds fly over them, symbolizing the ideas which must be developed, but also (as comic or cartoon language do) their insanity or madness. They are faced to a wall, hanged upside down, confronted and separated by the pillar itself, an obstacle to their communication.

Roberto Mitrotti (Caracas, 1966) is self-thaugth photographer, painter and sticker. Grew up in Málaga, he has developed his career in Madrid during the last 11 years, first as a Dj (at "Sala Maravillas", "La Gloria", "El Limbo", "El Baticano") and after that, as an urban artist, portraying the city, its details and also street art anonymous manifestations. His night views of the city were published in French magazine "Dedicate" (2006). He also started to stick in city walls, creating a personal grafic world based in urban signs, traditional ephemera, pop culture and cartoon, comic or toy-art characters. This multi referential icons affect to his canvas, in "Kiss the captive" series (2007), which defend the freedom or our "inside captive", our creativity, in a tender but also ironically way. This style impregnates now his photographs.
